AxisVI (VI = 6) is a supply chain consultancy built by operators, for operators — closing the gap between consultants who describe problems and the leaders who actually fix them.
Most consulting firms have the resources, the brand, and the accolades. What they don’t have is senior people in the rooms that matter.
Ask a consultant “is the sky blue?” — you’ll get a yes. Ask “why?” — and the room goes quiet.
That’s the gap between technical knowledge and business acumen. AxisVI was built to close it.
Here’s where it started.
Before a major consulting firm came in to assess our business, I told our VP of Operations exactly what they would find: no master data governance, no plant-level policies, siloed departments throwing problems over the wall and expecting whoever was downstream to absorb them.
Four weeks and six figures later, the consultants delivered exactly that.
Two things became obvious. An operator inside the business could see the answer in a single conversation. And yet — the consultants’ word carried more weight than the people who’d been saying the same thing for years. Worse, even after the consultants said it, nothing changed. Recommendations were accepted in the room and ignored after.
That’s the real problem. And that’s why AxisVI exists.
“The rock has to land in the right place.”
Transformations fail for one reason: nobody owns the adoption.
Not because the strategy was wrong. Not because the technology didn’t work. Because the people who diagnosed the problem were gone before the hard part started — and the people left behind were never bought in to begin with.
Think of a business as a body of water. Drop a rock in the middle of a pond and the ripples move outward — reaching every edge, changing everything they touch. Throw the rock at the shore and the ripples move inward, but never reach the core.
Most firms throw rocks at the shore. They work downstream — supply chain, master data, demand planning — patching symptoms while the root cause sits untouched in the executive suite. The ripples never get there.
We don’t work that way.
We’re senior operators, not junior consultants. Fifteen years inside Fortune 500 manufacturers. We’ve sat in the rooms, made the calls, and lived with the consequences. We know what the problem is before you finish the sentence — because we’ve had it ourselves.
We drive top-down sponsorship — not PowerPoint recommendations. We move in 6–14 week waves, not 18-month engagements designed to keep us billable. We deliver results you can see before the next board meeting.
We’re not here to study your business. We’re here to change it.

A 15+ year supply chain leader, Volak has spent his career inside Fortune 500 manufacturers and global consumer brands — running multi-site materials management, leading on-time global SAP ERP implementations across four countries, and delivering over $30 million in cost savings and inventory reductions across manufacturing, CPG, dairy, beverages, and specialty chemicals.
His expertise spans SAP, IBP, S&OP, demand and supply planning, master data governance, PFEP deployment, and end-to-end supply chain transformation. He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
AxisVI is the firm he built to put that operator’s perspective to work for other companies — closing the gap between consultants who describe problems and operators who fix them.
Fix where it starts, not where it shows up. We work upstream — because patching downstream symptoms wastes time, capital, and credibility.
We’ve actually run supply chain. Fifteen years inside Fortune 500 manufacturers means we recognize the real problem before we open the laptop.
Transformations don’t fail because the strategy is wrong. They fail because adoption stalls. We bring the executive presence that drives commitment from the top down.
If it can’t be measured, it didn’t happen. Every engagement ties back to validated dollars — the Q in QRF™ isn’t a slogan.
AxisVI brings rigor to transformation. The Six Pillars define the focus areas where we drive measurable change. The Quantified Results Framework™ (QRF™) is the proprietary system we apply across every engagement — built to quantify results, not just deliver recommendations.
We align strategy and execution across the six dimensions that drive sustainable value — powered by data and analytics.
Inventory optimization, service level management, MRP/SAP parameter alignment, and procurement strategy.
Production scheduling, throughput improvement, asset utilization, and schedule stability.
Demand planning, consensus forecasting, channel alignment, and customer service execution.
Working capital release, cash flow improvement, margin optimization, and cost efficiency.
Compliance, consistency, master data governance, and risk reduction across the supply network.
KPI infrastructure, planning visibility, performance dashboards, and decision automation.
Six practice areas. One proprietary framework. Quantified results.
AxisVI engagements progress through three deliberate phases — each building on the last, each delivering measurable value before the next begins. Start with a Diagnostic. Continue with confidence.

Leading an enterprise-wide $35M inventory reduction initiative across multiple manufacturing facilities. $16M delivered to-date through demand-aligned procurement, synchronized production scheduling, and master data accuracy improvements — including a 68% reduction in obsolete inventory ($14M to $4.5M).
Lifted production schedule attainment 16 points and vendor on-time delivery from 65% to 79% by implementing long-term load leveling and capacity planning across multiple plants.
Cut $20M from annual procurement spend through strategic contract renegotiation, supplier consolidation, and optimized inventory planning across 25+ domestic and international vendors.
Led on-time SAP ERP implementations across four global divisions (Argentina, Australia, U.S., Canada), directing a 28-member cross-functional team and standardizing end-to-end planning processes.
Achieved 95% data integrity across 30,000+ SAP material master fields and 5,000+ components — building the foundation for automated replenishment and accurate planning at scale.
Reduced annual obsolete inventory 83% across a 1,700+ SKU distribution network through proactive SKU lifecycle management and improved forecast accuracy.
Lifted forecast accuracy 13 points during a critical raw material shortage by implementing a consensus forecasting process, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and applying rigorous demand sensing across the product portfolio — protecting fill rates through significant supply volatility.
